Anna VanderKooi and Nathaniel Schulz of Kentwood, Mich., were united in marriage Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at Hidden Vineyard in Berrien Springs, Mich., with Carmen Conover performing the ceremony.
Parents of the couple of are Matt and Rebecca VanderKooi of Holland, Mich., and Scott and Julie Schulz of Cloquet, Minn.
The new bride, a 2010 graduate of Holland High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2014. She is employed as an environmental (process) engineer at Fleis & VandenBrink Engineering in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The groom, a 2010 graduate of Cloquet High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2014. He is employed as a civil (structural) engineer at Comprehensive Engineering in Grand Rapids.
The bride chose her sister, Holly VanderKooi of Holland, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Schulz of Fargo, N.D., sister of the groom; and Acacia Ritsema, Faye Owen, Kara Bakker and Katie Speet, all of Holland, friends of the bride.

The groom chose his friend, Wes Karras of Richfield, Minn., as best man. Groomsmen were Nick Tooney of Lowell, Mich., friend of the groom; Joseph Schmitt of Jonesville, Mich., friend of the groom; Nick Scholl and Taylor Scholl, both of Zeeland, Mich., cousins of the bride; and Tyler Brown of Flint, Mich., friend of the groom. Usher was Chayse Swenson of Duluth, Minn., friend of the groom.
The couple honeymooned on a Caribbean cruise to Cozumel, Belize and Honduras, and will reside in Lowell, Mich.
