As we head into the start of the work week, hot and muggy conditions will be present across the region.

An area of low pressure will be making its way out of North Dakota and into southern Manitoba during the morning hours before moving east into western Ontario during the afternoon. In doing so, the warm front associated with this system will continue to move farther into Ontario, helping to usher in very hot temperatures across the region with highs around 90°.

The cold front attached to this system will be traversing through the Dakotas during the day and then approaching our region as we head into the overnight hours. This will allow for some rain showers and thunderstorms to be possible in our region as we head into Monday night.

The cold front itself will likely not move through the region until Tuesday, which means that our temperatures for the first half of Tuesday may still be well into the 80s with muggy conditions. After the front's passage, temperatures will return to the 70s for Wednesday.
