Few rounds of rain and thunderstorms

An area of low pressure will work it's way out of the Canadian Prairies today, and into northern Minnesota by later this evening. For our region, that will mean that some additional rain showers, and even a few thunderstorms, will be likely. This will not be a continuous rain, however, rather it will be two separate areas of precipitation. The first wave of precipitation will likely traverse northern Minnesota during the late morning and into the early afternoon, bringing scattered rain showers and maybe a few rumbles of thunder. The second round of precipitation will arrive during the late afternoon and early evening hours. With the daytime heating in place and some partial clearing of the clouds during the afternoon, it may be enough to allow for more thunderstorms to be present in the region.

Another system will work it's way into our region as we head into the day Thursday, and this system may also bring rain showers and thunderstorms into our region. Otherwise; conditions will try to quiet down during the weekend, especially during the second half, but breezy conditions may remain in the region until the start of next work week.
