Fall tourism plays a large role in many small communities along Lake Superior's North Shore. Tourism experts from St. Louis, Lake and Cook counties highlight how visitors can capture the season with unique ways to experience maple and birch trees this autumn.
"You have to be a skeptic before you believe because that’s how you rule everything out," said guide Kimberly Christine, a two-time guest on the Travel Channel's "Ghost Adventures."
The event begins Thursday, Aug. 4, and ends Sunday, Aug. 7.
After a record-breaking year in 2021, the 13th annual event will be July 16-17 at the Duluth International Airport.
The animatronic attraction's crew had less than two days to turn the DECC's Pioneer Hall into a prehistoric playground.
"This is the most engaged package tour group I've ever seen, in 10 years of doing this," said the North Shore Scenic Railroad station manager.

On his 87th birthday, Dale Sanders started paddling to take on the entire length of the Mississippi River in hopes to break the world record as the oldest person to make the 2,340 mile trek, again.
Cyclists from all over the United States, Canada and even some from Central Africa gathered on Sunday to start pedaling a 350-mile journey for an annual Tour of Minnesota bike ride.
