Winners were announced in the Churchill Elementary VFW Veteran Day competition. Among them were Ryan Tuohy, Kate Owens, Kiana Bender, Claira Krikava, Allison Cooley, Alana Cook-Linamen, Megan Ward, Samantha Godbout, Jerome Henagin and picutred from the VFW Velda Beck.

The Cloquet VFW Post and Ladies Auxilary #397 presented 24 American flags and wall brackets to the Clouet Public School District #94 for classrooms in the schools. Ladies Auxiliary President Joanne Douglas presented the flags to Superintendant Ken Scarbrough, Assistand Principal Connie Hyde and Secretary Eija Allen on Sept. 28.
