Vikings' season opens with rivalry game against Green Bay

Can Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson, Za'Darius Smith and Danielle Hunter guide the Minnesota Vikings back to the NFL playoffs?

There's nothing like starting the season against your divisional and long-time arch rival.

But Minnesota Vikings fans have a marquee contest on Sunday, Sept. 11, to see how their team matches up against the Green Bay Packers in a quest for an early lead in the NFC North race.

Some analysts have both teams making the playoffs this season, though many favor the Packers winning the NFC North and a serious contender to appear in Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Ariz.
