Brandon Crusan scored his 10th goal of the season in the second overtime to give Hermantown a 1-0 victory over Cloquet-Esko-Carlton in a high school boys soccer game Thursday at Corey Veech Field in Hermantown.
Crusan's goal in the 87th minute ended a goalkeeping duel between the Hawks' Andrew Samberg and CEC's Jarad Weeks. Samberg had eight saves while Weeks, a backup replacing injured starter Derek Schrecengost, made 14 stops.
Hermantown improves to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Lake Superior Conference; CEC is 3-2-1 and 2-1-1.

Hibbing teammates win Nemadji Invite
Hibbing swept individual titles in Thursday's Nemadji Invitational at Nemadji Golf Course in Superior.
Senior teammates Sam Saccoman and Joel Johnson were less than a second apart in finishing 1-2 in the boys 5,000-meter race. Saccoman won in 17 minutes, 11.2 seconds and Johnson was next in 17:11.8.
Hibbing senior Tatum Garrity was first in the girls 4,000-meter race in 15:52.2, while Cromwell-Floodwood senior Sarah Chasson was next in 16:12.2.
Ashland was first among 14 teams in the boys division, and Northwestern topped Esko in a tiebreaker to win the girls team title.
