What college or professional athlete inspires you and why?

Jessie Diggins because she's from Minnesota. She's originally from Afton, and there are only like 2,000 people there. It's just cool that somebody from Minnesota can go that far and get gold at the Olympics.

What is one of your most memorable moments as an athlete?

The (2019) section meet for cross-country. That was just my first time qualifying for state in something and I just had a really good feeling during the race. It just felt amazing and exhilarating — that feeling of running. Then getting a medal and qualifying for state — that was pretty cool.

What is your favorite activity or hobby outside of sports?

I would say drawing and painting. It's fun, and it really relaxes you and lets you be with your thoughts. There's a lot of time to think stuff over.

What is your dream job and why?

Anything that would require me to travel. I think it would be fun to see the world and get paid to do it.

Describe your dream vacation.

I would say something adventurous like backpacking through Europe. I would love to go off and do a trip like that and camp for two weeks. That would be pretty cool.

Coach says:

"(Harmony) always seems to have a positive attitude — she'll take on anything you ask her to do in terms of workouts and athletic plans," CEC coach Arne Maijala said. "She tends to always have a smile on her face, which is nice to see. Any time there is a competition, she is always willing to just put it out there. She's also a very disciplined student in terms of her classroom goals."
