Conservation Officer Scott Staples (Carlton) worked boating and fishing activity in the area. Enforcement action was taken for angling without a license. Assistance was given to the State Patrol after a vehicle struck a deer on the interstate and was disabled.

While driving on the interstate, a vehicle was observed swerving and driving slowly. After pulling up alongside the vehicle, Staples observed the driver reading a book while driving.
