Moose Lake dancer invited to perform at Florida Citrus Bowl

Alicia Miller, a Moose Lake resident and student at Shooting Stars Dance in Cloquet, was the highest-scoring dancer at the Ultimate Talent Connection's Spring Fling Dance and Twirling Competition on March 23 at Northwestern High School in Maple, Wis.

Alicia Miller, a Moose Lake resident and student at Shooting Stars Dance in Cloquet, was the highest-scoring dancer at the Ultimate Talent Connection's Spring Fling Dance and Twirling Competition on March 23 at Northwestern High School in Maple, Wis.

Miller and Zoe Schnell of Superior competed in a dance and twirl-off at the end of the competition. Miller won the first runner-up title, which included a crown, banner, $50 scholarship from the Performing Arts Student Scholarship Foundation and an invitation to perform at the Florida Citrus Bowl.

The "All-American Half-time Show" at the Florida Citrus Bowl will perform in front of an audience of 60,000 spectators and will air live on national television for millions of viewers on New Year's Day.

More than 500 dancers and twirlers from the Midwest attended the Spring Fling Competition.
