Cole Crusberg-Roseen bagged a game-winning goal for the Minnesota Wilderness on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, as they salvaged a game from the season-opening North American Hockey League Showcase in Blaine, Minn.

The 3-2 victory over Lone Star came after Minnesota could not hold a two-goal lead it held after the first intermission. Gunnar Thoreson and Matthew McQuad scored at 11:53 and 18:40 of the first period, but Lone Star tied it up on a Dylan Smith power-play goal with 7:11 to play.

Crusberg-Roseen scored at 3:14 of OT to make a winner out of goaltender Jacob Zacharewicz, who made 32 saves.

The Wilderness (1-3-0-0) begin the main portion of their season with a two-game home series vs. Kenai River on Friday and Saturday at Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet.
