Kristaps Skrastins scored on an assist from Bryson Russell at 3:10 in overtime as the Amarillo Wranglers downed the Minnesota Wilderness 5-4 in their North American Hockey League game Thursday as part of the 18th annual NAHL Showcase Sept. 15-18 at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota.

Skrastins, of Riga, Latvia, led the Wranglers with a hat trick. Dominic Schimizzi and Tommy Chunchukov added goals and Jon Howe had 23 saves for Amarillo.

Matthew McQuade and William Persson each had a goal and two assists while Jacob Zacharewicz added 18 saves for the Wilderness (0-2), who are opening the season with four games in four days as part of the Showcase.
