Hermantown senior Aaron Pionk scored his first goal in a Minnesota Wilderness uniform Wednesday night in helping the Cloquet-based North American Hockey League team to a 4-1 victory over the Minnesota Magicians in Richfield, Minnesota.

The Magicians opened the scoring with the lone first-period goal before the Wilderness rallied in the second on Grant Docter’s 16th goal of the season, former Greenway standout Donte Lawson’s seventh and Pionk’s first.

Josh Bohlin tacked on the Wilderness’ third power-play goal of the night in the third period to close the scoring.

Kaleb Johnson stopped 34 shots for the Wilderness, who head to Bismarck, North Dakota, for a Friday night game.
