Girls hockey: CEC blanks Superior

The Lumberjacks were next scheduled to play Thursday, Jan. 9, against Marshall School.

Cloquet-Esko-Carlton blanked the Superior High School girls hockey team in Lake Superior Conference action 7-0 on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Superior Ice Arena.

Taylor Nelson had two goals and two assists for the Lumberjacks. Kiana Bener added a pair of goals and Tenley Stewart, Ashytn Schneberger and Keelee Grashorn scored a goal apiece.

Katrina Casper finished with 27 saves for Superior and Lauren Maslowski stopped six shots for CEC.

CEC was next scheduled to host Marshall School on Thursday, Jan. 9, followed by Cambridge-Isanti on Saturday, Jan. 11, also at home.
