An open track meet will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Cloquet High School track as a fundraiser for the CHS track and field team. There are no school affiliations, and athletes may compete in an open division for any age and experience, or a high school division. Recent graduates and those in the Class of 2013 will have to compete in the open division. All younger athletes will compete in the high school division.
Cost is $15 per athlete and $10 for Cloquet athletes or alumni or families. All participants receive a competitor T-shirt. The top three individuals in each event will receive a plaque.
Dress appropriately; there are no uniform rules. There is a four event maximum, and no more than three of the events can be running events. Lane assignments will be random draw. Shot put, discus and long jump will be run cafeteria style and each athlete will get three throws/jumps, with no finals.
