Cloquet School Board members approved the hire of Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys hockey coach Dave Esse as a full-time physical education/health teacher at Cloquet High School effective for the 2017-18 school year. Esse was hired to replace Tom McFarlane, who is retiring after this school year.
Esse has been head CEC hockey coach since 2001, and served as assistant coach for McFarlane before that. He comes to Cloquet after teaching phy ed in Carlton. The Pine Journal omitted Esse’s hire in last week’s School Board story.
