Head coach: Scott Antonutti
Assistant coaches: Tim Lindquist, David Lindstrom
Returning starters: Brenna Stark (Sr.), Sarah Wagemaker (Jr.), Jayden Karppinen (Jr.), Aila Gabel (Jr.), Mallory Sunnarborg (Sr.) all started a large number of games last year, according to coach Scott Antonutti. The Eskomos graduated two seniors, including three-year starter and 1,000 point scorer Kristy DeMuth.
New Faces: "Our (junior varsity) team had a fantastic season, only losing a couple games, so I think we will have good depth an quickness," Antonutti said.
Statistical leaders from the JV team last year include: Rachel Antonutti (Jr.), Avery Kuklinski (Soph.), Kaitlyn Adkins (Jr.) , Ava Korby (Soph.) and two quick, full court defenders in Ingrid Hexum and Emily Rengo.
Team Strengths: "We will have good team depth and quickness," Antonutti said. "We have a plethora of guards and should be able to put full court pressure on opposing teams for extended periods of time. I'm also hopeful that we are able to improve on our amount of turnovers with having so much experience."
Biggest Challenge: "We are going to have to all focus on rebounding as we will have a lack of length on the roster," Antonutti said. "We aren't very tall, but I like our overall basketball IQ, and I think that will help with the girls understanding the importance of boxing out. We will also have to be aggressive and physical with attacking the ball off of misses or loose balls to make up for our lack of length."
