Brandon Myer scored 36 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Minnesota Duluth throttled Minot State 93-69 on Saturday in Minot, N.D.
Charles Gorres had 19 points and combined with Myer to hit eight of UMD’s 12 3-point shots. Drew Blair scored 18 points.
The Bulldogs improved to 8-2 in the NSIC and 13-3 overall. They play host to Minnesota State-Mankato at 7:30 p.m. Friday, then entertain Concordia-St. Paul at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
St. Scholastica 81, Minnesota Morris 80
St. Scholastica rallied from a seven-point deficit early in the second half to build a 12-point lead, but the Saints had to hang on at the end in a win over Minnesota Morris on Saturday in Morris.
Collin Anderson led the Saints with 30 points and Quinn Fischer scored 10. Jack Silgen had seven points and 12 rebounds.
Silgen hit a shot for an 81-76 lead with 1:10 left but UMM’s Nick Peterson and Kenneth Riley both hit shots to make it 81-80 with 12 seconds left. A Cougars shot at the buzzer missed the mark.
CSS (4-8, 1-3 UMAC) play at Northland at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Wis.-Superior 69, Martin Luther 54
Vid Milenkovic scored 16 points and accounted for almost half of Wisconsin-Superior’s 46 rebounds in a 69-54 victory over Martin Luther on Saturday in New Ulm.
Milenkovic had 21 rebounds and also two steals. Mason Ackley and Mac Reykdal both scored 11 points for the Yellowjackets (8-6), who improved to 6-0 in the UMAC. They play at Finlandia at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Minnesota Duluth 81, Minnesota Morris 75, OT
Minnesota Duluth blew a 12-point lead in the fourth quarter but rebounded in overtime to stall Minot State’s upset bid 81-75 on Saturday in Minot, N.D.
Ann Simonet had 22 points, six rebounds and six assists, and Katie Stark scored 20 points for UMD (12-4, 9-1 NSIC), which narrowly avoided a big letdown against the Beavers (3-11, 0-10 NSIC). The Bulldogs play host to Minnesota State-Mankato at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Wis.-Superior 78, Martin Luther 48
Eva Reinertsen scored 21 points and had 10 rebounds and five assists as Wisconsin-Superior smoked Martin Luther 78-48 on Saturday in New Ulm.
The Yellowjackets (9-5, 5-1 UMAC) got 13 points and six rebounds from Emily Carpenter and Ellie Leadstrom finished with nine points, four rebounds, three blocks and three steals.
The Yellowjackets play host to Minnesota Morris at 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
Minnesota Morris 85, St. Scholastica 68
Three Minnesota Morris players scored in double figures and the Cougars defeated St. Scholastica on Saturday in Morris.
The Saints (5-9, 3-3 UMAC) got 22 points from Kaylee Kennedy, Karli Skog scored 10 and Emma Schmidt had six points and six rebounds.
The Saints play at Northland at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.
