Esko scored 22 runs in the first three innings as the Eskomos blew out Section 7AA rival Two Harbors 27-2 on Monday, May 20.

Four Esko players had at least three RBIs in a game that lasted just five innings. James LeGarde led the pack with three hits and five RBIs, while Mason Vinje had four RBIs and a double. Hunter Sunde and Avery Liljegren each had three RBIs.

The Eskomos score five runs in the first inning, six in the second and then exploded for 11 runs in the third inning to give Esko a 22-1 lead.

Esko amassed 27 hits in the game - the team's top offensive output in 2019 - with only two players on the roster not getting hit in the game.

On the mound, Sunde allowed just three hits from the Agates while striking out two and walking four batters. Both Two Harbors runs were unearned as a result of four Esko fielding errors.

Esko has a doubleheader against Proctor scheduled at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, and will finish its regular season against Duluth Marshall at 7 p.m. Friday, May 24, at Wade Stadium in Duluth. The Section 7AA tournament begins next week.
