A beautiful memorial service was held for Bill Freiermuth on April 11, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cromwell. Bill was a true "one-of-a-kind" guy and his family and friends will miss him. We also thank everyone else who helped make this service and lunch so special for his family.
Our sympathy goes out to Olivia (James) Olson and Ross Arnold on the recent death of their grandfather, Robert Dennis Arnold, 70, of Moose Lake who passed away April 11, 2017.
Our sympathy to the family of George Verkovich, 90, of Carlton passed away April 4, 2017.
The Cromwell Sno-Gopher's BINGO will be at 6 p.m. Friday, April 21, at the Sno-Gopher Clubhouse in Cromwell just north of the railroad tracks on Highway 73.
Come join the residents of Villa Vista and Cardinal Court at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at the Fireside in McGregor. It's always great to get together with the residents and their families.

The Cromwell Area Community Club (CACC) is holding "Cromwell Citywide Clean Up Day" Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day). We will meet at the Pavilion at 9 a.m. and disperse around town from there. Lunch will be provided. Everyone is encouraged to help clean up our community.
Yoga will be held Mondays from 11 a.m. to noon at the Cromwell Pavilion on April 24, May 1 and May 30.

The Cromwell Area Senior YOT Dance will be held from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, April 27, in the Cromwell Pavilion with the Chmielewski Funtime Band. All senior dances are on the fourth Thursday of the month.

Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell will hold their Annual Rummage and Bake Sale April 28 from 4-7 p.m. and April 29 from 8 a.m. to noon. Donations are welcome. Proceeds help send youth to Bible Camp this summer.
Donations are also encouraged to help the Cromwell Area Community Club build a gazebo in the small park near the Northview Bank this summer. Donations can be sent to CACC, 1775 Middle Road, Cromwell, MN 55726-8119. Donations can be made in honor or in memory of a loved one, too.
Eagle Lake Cemetery's annual meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 1, at the Sno-Gopher Clubhouse. Cemetery Cleanup Day will be May 21 at noon.

The next Wrong Days meeting will be at 6 p.m. Monday, May 1, at Minetties. The 52nd Annual Wrong Days in Wright will be July 14-15. Faith Nyberg will sign up Wrong Day royalty candidates soon. If interested in running for king or queen, let Faith know at 701-388-9065.
Over 80 women attended the first F-U-N Women's event Saturday, April 8, at Bethany Lutheran in Cromwell. Guest speaker was Janeva Stromberg and I hear she was fantastic. The F-U-N (Females Unit Now) group is planning two more events in May and June. First they will have a family movie at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at Bethany. Then on June 4 there will be potluck family gathering at noon at the Cromwell Pavilion. Bring a dish to share, your own lawn chairs, lawn games, and bring your friends.
The Annual Mother Daughter Tea and Luncheon will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Guest speaker will be storyteller Gloria Anderson Hegge. All area women and girls are encouraged to attend this special event.

The Cromwell area rummage sales are Saturday, May 13. Let the CACC know if you plan to have a sale so they can put it on the map. Call Deb at 644-3780 to sign up.
The next play at the Encore Performing Arts Center in Cloquet is "Everybody Loves Opal," which runs May 12-14 and 17-21. For ticket information call 218-878-0071 or check them out online. If you have never attended any of the community theater plays at the Encore, you are missing a great time!

Grandparent's Day at the school will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 19.

That's all the news from Lake Watchfordeer and hello to Mike Olson who is back home after his heart and liver transplant. He was even seen at church on Easter Sunday. Way to go, Mike!
