To the Editor:

In response to Tony Sheda's March 30th letter "Follow-up story was too much": I was shocked that the letter writer was critical of the Pine Journal's reporting on a review hearing for a man that had terrorized a neighborhood. Let's remember, this man was lurking around at night while wearing a mask, carrying a gun, peering in the windows of children, and was a trusted neighbor to these same children.

No, the man has not paid his debt, he is paying his debt...that was the purpose of the hearing...to make sure he is following through with the conditions of his sentence and thus making sure the community is safe from him.

The Pine Journal would have been remiss if the didn't report on a story that affects the safety and security of the community.
