To the Editor:
I was just amazed this year how our community came together to support our July 4 Veterans Celebration. How wonderful it was and such a beautiful day. An event such as this doesn't just happen. It takes months of hard work, time and planning, then it's here for everyone to enjoy. I want our community to realize this so when our next event comes up, we can get the support we had this year.
I want to thank all the organizations, businesses and individuals for their support, both monetary and time for this. I want to thank Fond du Lac, too, for the years of support for our community events.
There is no one person more than I would like to thank than Lisa Karulak. Lisa, you are one of a kind. Your energy, devotion and time have been never ending, and I don't know how you did for so long and mostly all by yourself. [I] and our community thank you so much for your hard work. With me helping you, I have learned so much on just what it takes to make all this happen. Your ideas for events for the young and old just come to you naturally. It was just a treat working with you. Thank you so much. Next year we'll do it again, with much more help.
