To the Editor:
The combined efforts of the Barnum Youth Center, Boy Scout Troop 169, and the Carlton County Fair resulted in a beautification project, with pain donated by Valspar, at the fairgrounds the weekend of July 11.
The historic Flower Building (the old Brethren Church) received a fresh coat of paint and some minor repairs thanks to the hard work of a group of 10 young men and seven troop leaders. A new building sign was made and put up prior to the opening of the fair. Special thanks to Valspar, Meg McCauley and Chris Anderson.
