We'd like to thank everyone who came to our 11th Annual Suicide Awareness Memorial Walk held on Saturday, Oct. 12, in Carlton. About 200 people walked in memory of loved ones lost to suicide. This walk is so important in remembering lives lost to suicide, bringing public awareness to this deep concern, and offering hope, encouragement and support to the families and friends.

We'd also like to thank the following businesses who have generously donated refreshments and supplies each year for the walk; Carlton High School for letting us host the event there; the Carlton County Sheriff's Office and Fond du Lac Police Department for traffic control; and Fond du Lac Ojibway School Drum Keepers.

Also a very special "thank you" to all the volunteers and student volunteers who help make this such a successful event, to our speakers and to area media for promotion and coverage of the walk.

Please mark your calendar and join us yearly on the second Saturday of October. Next year's walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 10.

Again, thanks for your continued support!
