To the Editor:

After inspiration from my good friend Delaney and the sign I saw on the way to school, I need to say something about this whole referendum deal. I've been going to Wrenshall since fourth grade and have loved it since the first day. This school and community means a lot to me because of the time I've personally spent in the school and knowing people who go there. I am involved in so many things at the school I've started to lose track and yet I've heard people say it's not a key part to the community. So many things happen at the school it's not even funny! The school needs this referendum to keep those activities going and make them flourish. Yes I hear the talks about how buildings don't teach students, teachers do. But, if you don't have the proper tools to teach, it gets that much harder. All the teachers in Wrenshall are amazing at what they do. Those are the people teaching the future engineers, scientists, etc. ... they deserve to have better workplaces and tools to teach all the students.

I encourage all students who are afraid to talk about it to talk to a friend, get them interested, and work together. I hope people follow me as I did with Delaney, and speak up.

Randy Wimmer, freshman

Wrenshall High School
