To the Editor:

I had the privilege on my monthly trip to Cloquet to eat at Gordy's Hi-Hat last weekend. My wife and I have been enjoying it monthly for the last 40 years during the open season. As an out-of-towner, my trips are not frequent enough. I not only enjoyed the best burger in town, but we found out how good the employees are there. A few hours after we got home, my wife noticed that she lost her purse. She was so engrossed in the great food that she had forgotten her purse under the table at Gordy's. She called Gordy's and asked about her purse, and they had it. One of the employees found it underneath the table and had turned it in. She had a considerable amount of cash in it (along with the credit cards, etc, that would have caused a lot more problems if lost.) Everything was intact. They were waiting to see if someone called about it for a few hours before they would open it up and look for an ID. When my wife went up to pick it up, they verified it was hers in her presence.

Thank you Gordy's for your great food and honest employees!
