I’m excited to announce that the six area Community Education programs will be submitting articles each week on upcoming programs and events in your communities! Barnum Community Education is proud to be the first "Community Education Corner!"
Upcoming events coming up in December include our free Tech & Coffee on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Staff and students are available in the Barnum High School Media Center to help you learn how to use your electronics.
Friday, Dec. 6, and Saturday, Dec. 7, is the annual holiday play. Come watch third graders to 12th graders perform “Gift without a Price” by O. Henry and R.F. Berndt and “The Christmas Pirates of the Bermuda Triangle” by Burton Bumgarner.
Friday’s performance is at 7 p.m. at Barnum High School. Saturday’s performance is at 1:30 p.m. Children in sixth grade and under are free. Adults are $4, senior citizens are $3 and students are $2.

Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. is our fundraiser "Pancakes with Santa" in the Barnum High School Commons Area. Cost is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and $3 for kids. All proceeds go toward sending local kids to Camp Miller. Santa will be available for photos; all photos will be posted on Facebook.
On Tuesday, Dec. 31, Community Ed, in partnership with our PTO, is holding a free community New Year’s Eve party for all ages from noon to 4 p.m. at Barnum High School. Join us for hot cocoa, movies, popcorn, bingo with mystery prizes, board games, open basketball and volleyball, crafts, coloring, cards, cribbage, Legos, bean bags, pingpong and a photo booth.
