Barnum Community Education has some fun classes and events coming up in the beginning of December.

We kick off December with our Holiday Play at 7 p.m. Dec. 3, at Barnum High School. Then, our fundraiser, Pancakes for Santa, will be held from 8-11 a.m. on Dec. 4 in the Barnum High School Commons area, then stay for our free Santa Matinee performances of “It's Sad, So Sad When an Elf Goes Bad” and “A Christmas Chaos." All children from kindergarten through sixth grade are free thanks to the Barnum Area Community Club!

Sheila has another board painting class on Dec. 7. For $35 you can make a great wooden board with any saying or design of your choosing! Make one for yourself or as a gift to someone else! I know I love homemade with love gifts myself!

We end December with a New Year’s Eve Party from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 31 at Barnum High School. We have activities for everyone ages 0-100, and everything will be free! The event includes hot cocoa, a hot dog lunch, popcorn, a DJ with music and dancing, board games, cribbage, ping pong, bean bags, Legos, a photo booth/selfie station and more! All is free thanks to our AGE to age grant.
