Greetings from Carlton Community Education!
Our program participants have been busy enjoying the outdoors and what our area has to offer especially with the gorgeous weather we have been blessed with this fall.
Just a couple of weeks ago, our school readiness class enjoyed a morning at Ru-Ridge Corn Maze. The kids had a blast feeding the animals, playing on all of the equipment and taking a hay wagon ride! Everyone even ventured into the maze and succeeded at finding their way out! Some of the kids were overheard saying, “This is the best day ever!"
- The first session of TKD is just coming to an end, with a new session beginning Tuesday, Nov. 9.
- Looking for a way to reduce stress and bring peace to your inner self? Try our yoga class. It starts Wednesday, Nov. 10.
- Looking ahead to winter (yes, I said it), there are guided snowshoe hikes being planned, and I am looking for other classes to offer as well, so please let me know what you are looking for!
If you are interested in any classes I have mentioned or have some class ideas to share please contact our office for information.
Halloween is just days away and although we won’t be holding our traditional, indoor Halloween Party at South Terrace, there are a couple great local events happening to participate in with your little ghosts and goblins.
The Carlton Area Chamber is organizing a huge trick or treat event that takes place on Halloween from 1-3 p.m. in downtown Carlton. There are over 30 businesses and organizations joining in to provide a safe, family-friendly event for all.
And later that evening, Carlton High School students will be hosting Trunk or Treat at the Jim Erickson football field. Participants should park in the school parking lot and walk up to the fun. The event will be held from 5-6 p.m.
I always welcome phone calls and emails at 218-384-4225 x213 or email@example.com.
