Now that fall is in the air, Cloquet Community Education has a few fun getaways on the calendar. Joining one of our trips saves you from driving and finding parking, as well as a little planning.
Our first trip of the season is down to Taylors Falls to ride the paddleboat and enjoy a tasty chicken luncheon. The tour guide will point out the history of the St. Croix River Valley, as well as the geological features of the area. The trip is scheduled for Sept. 24, so we hope the leaves will be changing, but that will be weather dependent. The cost for the bus and paddleboat is $64.
On Oct. 2, we are heading over to the Bayfield Applefest to enjoy treats and other activities happening on the shores of Lake Superior. You can preview all of the festivities by visiting bayfield.org/festivals-events/bayfield-apple-festival. The cost for the bus ride is $30.
Finally, on Dec. 9, we will head to the Bentleyville Tour of Lights after having a free dinner at the Senior Center. Dinner is at 4:45 p.m., and the bus leaves for Bentleyville promptly at 6 p.m. This trip is sponsored by the Northland Foundation as part of our Age to Age program. It is free, but only those who are registered can attend.
For all of our trips, the bus will pick people up behind the Super One Foods in Cloquet. At this point, please plan on wearing masks for the bus and paddleboat rides.
You can sign up for these trips by going to our website, cloquetcommunityed.com or by calling 218-879-1261. Trips fill up fast, so be sure to sign up today!
