Warm Greetings from Carlton Community Education! I hope this article finds you staying warm, healthy and enjoying the start of a great new year!
Everyone is really experiencing the true Minnesota winter right now. We have been spoiled with warmer than usual weather and these frigid temperatures really bring you back to the reality of what Minnesota winters can feel like!
As we start out 2021, I am starting to see our programming pick back up with many safety precautions in place, and it is exciting and gives me hope for our future!
Our youth basketball program took off in a quick hurry, and we currently have our elementary gyms busy after school, in the evenings and on Saturday mornings with many children practicing and building their basketball skills. It also helps to burn off some of that energy as well, which is a huge benefit to everyone!
In the coming months, as restrictions allow, I will be scheduling more classes and events. Some that are currently in the works are a virtual yoga class, with hopes for an in person class in April; a handmade, all occasions card class; a virtual, multi-week birding experience just in time for spring migration; and a decorative wreath workshop.
Plans are also in place to once again hold our popular container gardening sessions at The Green House in April, too!
Of course, a lot of this depends on where things are at with the pandemic, but in the meantime, I plan to continue creating and developing opportunities as the current situation allows.
Please check our Facebook page or website regularly to see what classes and other ideas are put out there for you to participate in.
