The Community Education world, like everything else, has been completely flip flopped and revamped. Programs are going virtual, offering curbside projects and so much more.
Barnum has decided not to offer summer programs this year. With the guidelines to offer programming for six to nine people at a time, it isn’t cost effective for us. With that being said, we will use the summer to plan some great programs come fall.
We are currently in the process of getting our school age care program, Bomber Club, back up and running. If your school age care child needs care this summer, please contact me to get registered! We plan to be open June 8, if we can get enough kids registered.
Our Early Childhood Program is taking registrations for fall classes. The link to register is on our school website at http://isd91.org/community-education/ecfe-school-readiness/. We offer a variety of classes for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds and Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes Friday mornings.
If you and your family are hunkering down this summer, here are some fun activities to try at home: online virtual tours, picnics, bike rides; play in the sprinkler; sleep in your backyard; learn the summer constellations; blow bubbles; make your own playdoh; bake cookies; make lemonade; read books; play four square; watch the sunset; enjoy s’mores; make your own puppets' or have a puppet show.
Barnum Community Education is also hosting a card drive for graduating seniors. Send a card to one of the graduates by selecting their name from the list pictured and mailing it to (Name of graduate) c/o Barnum Community Education, 3675 County Road 13, Barnum, MN 55707.
