I was listening to a radio program Sunday morning called “Minnesota Matters” and they were talking about our veterans, especially our women veterans. I found out that Minnesota has 27,000 women vets. That’s quite a number!
With the re-opening of the café in Wright, I would like to collect the history of this diner/restaurant/café. I already have a photo of Ruby Peterson, but would like to get photos of the other owners and a short written history of their ownership. If you could email me information or send it to me, I would really appreciate it. My address is 620 Center Road, Wright, MN 55798 or email me at email@example.com.
Our sympathy to the family of long time area resident Dorothy M. Groth, 95, of Cromwell, who passed away Sept. 30, 2015, at Villa Vista Nursing Home in Cromwell.

Elementary Cross Country Race: Thank you to all the students and families who participated in the 14th running of the elementary cross country race. The race is a blatant attempt to let people know there is another fall sport option for students and to get more students to come out. This year the course record was set by Noah Foster, running a 3-minute flat elementary loop. The top three girls were (in order) Ellie Anderson, Payton Smith and Aurora Gervais. The top three boys were (in order) Noah Foster, Trent Bagne and Andrew Kachinske. The winning team was Dyne Cahoon, Andrew Kachinske and Noah Foster. For the full results look at the end of the Bus Bulletin. Thank you to all of the runners and family members that were able to come and cheer them on!
Area Clothing Depot: The coat and sweater giveaway will be held Oct. 6-17, featuring one free coat and three free sweaters per person per visit. Must come into the Area Clothing Depot to receive items.
