Lyn Everett Johnson
Lyn Everett Johnson, 76 of Cloquet passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 in Miller Dwan Medical Center in Duluth. He was born May 14, 1944 in Cloquet to Everett and Lois (Zimmer) Johnson. The family moved to Mahtowa in 1953. Lyn graduated from Barnum High School in 1962. He started Lyn’s Auto Body in Cloquet in 1974.
Lyn enjoyed Drag Racing and was a member of the National Hot Rod Association. He was also a member of Duck’s Unlimited and the NRA. He enjoyed fishing in Canada and hunting at the shack in Brookston. He was also involved in league bowling at Southgate Bowl for many years.
Lyn was preceded in death by his father, Everett; daughters, Terri Lyn Johnson and Stephanie Snickers.
Lyn is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rae; son, Thomas (Jackie) Johnson of Cloquet; two daughters, Kaycee (Joe Stanaway) Garza of Solon Springs and Nicole (Brandon) Crotteau of Esko; his mother, Lois Johnson of Cloquet; sister, Suzanne Johnson of Cloquet; 8 grandchildren, Desirae, Preston, and Madelyn Garza, Cordell Johnson, and Tally, Braelyn, Hamilton, and Harry Crotteau; and great granddaughter, Mckenley Ann.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021 in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet. Visitation will continue from 10 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Friday, May 14th also in the funeral home. Masks are required. From the funeral home parking lot, the service can be heard on FM 98.3. A video recording of the service will be on the funeral home website Friday afternoon. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cloquet.
