Heaven got a little sweeter on 2/17 when our parents were finally reunited. Lorraine left this earth at 11:11pm, holding her daughter’s hands, just as she had done so many times over the years. She was the best mom, grandma and great-grandma anyone could wish for, always taking the time to enjoy the special little moments. She loved birds (as long as they weren’t flying around her head) and dogs, especially German Shepherds. She made the best potato salad in Minnesota, just ask anyone who was lucky enough to have been on the receiving end of a bowl of it. She loved to sew, travel and read. Her word puzzles kept her sharp through her 91 years and she definitely had her opinion on politics. Missing her here on earth are daughters Deb (Bub) Hennum and Lisa (Frank) Beckendorf, granddaughters April (Ryan) Johnson, Traci Gasper (fiancé Chris Schultz), Molly (David) Hammelman, great-grandchildren Mady (Brad) Zimmerman, Cole Gasper, Kiley Johnson, Sophia Hammelman and Tucker Schultz as well as many friends and relatives. Private services were held for the immediate family. Since she had many causes she felt passionate about, we ask that memorials be sent to: Lisa Beckendorf 7971 Inland Lane N. Maple Grove, MN 55311. Memorials will be distributed to those charities.
