Donald Emil Johnson

Donald Emil Johnson, 85 of Carlton passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. He was born July 23, 1935 in Esko to Charles and Sylvia (Hill) Johnson. He graduated from Esko High School. He married Joan Fisher on May 18, 1973.

Donald worked at Potlatch for 43 years until retiring in 1997. He served in the Army National Guard.

Donald was preceded in death by one son, Brent Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan; his children, Dawnette (Lukas) Dixon, Cindi Rahier, Philip (Laurie) Johnson, Gerald (Michelle) Johnson, and Gary Johnson; daughter-in-law, Judy Johnson; brother, Robert (Janet) Johnson; sisters, June (Dave) Guckenberg and Mary Ann (Kali) Lipponen; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
