The Cromwell High School Class of 1952 met Saturday, Sept. 15, at the home of Willard and Lorraine Lindholm. In attendance were Dick Sandness, Wil and Judy Tamminen, Sidney Holms, Willard Lindholm, Gerald Heikkila, Ann Heikkila and several spouses.
At halftime of the football game Oct. 5, there will be a short ceremony to honor the 1998 state championship football team.
Early Childhood and Family Education classes meet every Tuesday starting Sept. 18. One-year-olds meet meet from 8:30-10 a.m.; 2-year-olds meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon. New families are always welcome to stop in and meet our new teacher, Penny Mayer, and our new parent educator, Kathy McGovern.
The after-school program has been going on for several years at our school. This program keeps students after school for a couple of hours so they don't have to go home alone when the parents aren't home yet. Remember that all students who check into the ASP and have a snack will be charged the daily rate. Call the school for more information.
Pony League Football practices are Mondays and Wednesdays until 5 p.m. Games are Saturdays. Contact Brian Lind at 218-390-1697.
Terry Sawdey, a teacher at Cromwell-Wright School, recently had open-heart surgery. A spaghetti dinner and silent auction benefit will be Oct. 5 from 4-7 p.m. at the Cromwell-Wright School cafeteria.
Bethlehem Sunday school in Wright will hold its Rally Day (first day of Sunday school) on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 9 a.m. All are welcome.
