Essentia Health says it will open its new Moose Lake clinic Sept. 7 with nearly 10,000 square feet of renovated space.

Duluth construction company Kraus-Anderson has completed the renovation of the clinic, which includes a new patient entry, registration and waiting area. There are 14 exam rooms, two procedure rooms and two telehealth rooms.

Existing lab and radiology resources will be used in the new clinic, and new lab and phlebotomy spaces have been added. There are new spaces for medication storage and dispensing, provider and staff work areas and support service areas.

The renovation project, designed by BWBR Architects, cost $2.5 million to complete, Kraus-Anderson said. The entire clinic, which is located in the Essentia Health-Moose Lake hospital, has been a more than $4 million project.

The clinic will have two family medicine primary care physicians, and Essentia said there are plans to eventually have four physicians. The clinic will offer family medicine, obstetrics, cardiology, urology and orthopedics.
