Across the 10-county region of the Northland, 455 more people have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Itasca County set a single-day record high Monday with 67 new COVID-19 cases. The previous single-day high was 61 on Nov. 12. The county's seven-day average of new cases is 44.3 a day.

St. Louis County reported 235 new infections Monday. The county's seven-day average of new cases is 186.4 a day.

Statewide in Minnesota, 7,444 more people have tested positive for COVID-19. Completed diagnostic tests are up by 51,207, which brings the state's single-day testing positivity rate — the percentage of tests that come back positive — to 14.54%.

Statewide in Wisconsin, 4,389 more people have tested positive and completed tests are up by 12,298. The state's single-day positivity rate calculated to about 35.69% Monday. Over the last seven days, the state has averaged a rate of 36.4%.

Health experts consider anything above 5% as "too high."
