Two more St. Louis County residents have died from COVID-19. The people were between the ages of 30-34 and 90-94, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. The two were among 21 newly reported deaths statewide.
There were 80 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Northeastern Minnesota on Sunday. Of those cases, 53 were St. Louis County residents. There were 11 new cases reported in Carlton County and eight new cases in Itasca County. Cook County reported its highest amount of new cases on a single day so far with three new cases. Aitkin and Koochiching counties reported two new cases each and Lake County added a single new case.
Statewide Minnesota reported 1,684 new cases. There were another 32,806 tests completed statewide. The single-day positivity rate was 5.1%, down from Saturday.
In Wisconsin, 16 new cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed in Douglas County according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Ashland County recorded eight new cases and Bayfield County added four new cases.
Statewide Wisconsin added 3,626 new cases and completed 14,022 more tests. The single-day positivity rate was 25.8%.
Eight more Wisconsin residents have died from COVID-19, none were residents of the Northland.
