Another resident of St. Louis County has died of COVID-19. The individual was between 80-84 years old and was one of 17 newly reported deaths statewide, according to the situation update from the Minnesota Department of Health. A majority of those deaths, 14, were residents of long-term care facilities or assisted living centers and between 60-94 years old.
Forty-six new cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed in St. Louis County on Sunday. Itasca County added 15 new cases, Aitkin County added five new cases. Both Lake and Cook counties added two new cases each and Koochiching and Carlton Counties each added one new case.
Statewide there were 1,732 newly reported cases and 30,020 new tests completed. This makes for a one-day positivity rate of 5.76%.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services' data reporting system is undergoing an update over the weekend, the agency announced on Twitter. The state will not update its website on Sunday.
