Twenty-nine new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Northeastern Minnesota on Sunday. Fifteen of those new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in St. Louis County, according to the daily update from the Minnesota Department of Health.
Itasca County also saw an increase in cases by 11. Aitkin, Carlton and Koochiching counties also added one new case each.
Statewide, Minnesota reported 1,077 new cases of COVID-19 and the completion of 25,283 more diagnostic tests.
Four more Minnesotans have died from COVID-19. None of them lived in the Northland.
In Wisconsin, there were 14 new cases recorded in Douglas County according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Ashland also saw an increase of 4 cases, pushing them just over 100 total cases, with 54 cases considered active. Bayfield also hit the 100 case threshold with one additional case added today, there are 23 cases considered active in the county.
There were no deaths recorded due to COVID-19 since Saturday and 8,023 diagnostic tests completed.
