The City of Cloquet announced an election judge working at the Ward 1 polling precinct recently tested positive for COVID-19.

City officials said Monday, Nov. 9, they contacted Journey Church, the facility that hosted the election, as well as other election workers at the site.

The election judge showed no symptoms or signs of illness until days after the election and took all prescribed precautions — including wearing a mask — while working Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The city urged anyone with symptoms who were at the Ward 1 precinct to contact a medical professional or get tested.
