Pallin's project was the cleanup and painting of the boiler room in Queen of Peach Church.
Nationally, only 1 percent of boys who join the scouting program advance to the rank of Eagle.
Troop 171 currently has 30 scouts in the troop. They have a very strong outdoor program with monthly outings including an annual BWCA trip and a week-long merit badge camp. Their regular community service projects include Adopt-A-Highway cleanup at the Cloquet Forestry Station, serving lunch to the residents of Evergreen Knoll on Mother's Day, helping with the Friends of the Library book sale, and the Salvation Army's "Scouting for Food" food drive.
