Every minute of every game counts and Wrenshall proved that theory by getting off to a quick start on Friday in their 58-46 boys basketball victory over Two Harbors.
The Wrens ran out to a 28-16 halftime lead and then held on to pick up the win over the Agates.
Aaron Mettling put up 16 points to lead the Wrens in scoring. Chris Hansmann finished with 13, Evan Swanson scored nine, Jon Bartczak finished with seven, both Kyle Ziebarth and Brendon Menze scored five points and Jordan Berglund recorded a point.
Brady Johnson led the Agates with 11 points and Fordes Lodin finished with nine points.
