Moose Lake-Willow River tuned up for the post season on Monday night with an 83-52 trouncing of East Central in boys basketball.

The Rebels broke away early as they hit for 48 first-half points while taking a 48-20 lead at the intermission.

ML-WR had 10 different players score against the Eagles and three of those players reached double-digits. Joe Bednar led the way with 24 points, Joey Bohaty finished with 16 and Nate Zuk dumped in 12 points. Also scoring were Vinny Stepan with eight, Jimmy Mach scored seven, Taylor Davis added five, Austin Jacobson recorded four, Robin Rice chipped in with three and it was two points for Brian Bothwell and Zach Wohlstrom.

The Eagles played a strong second half, but the Rebels still outscored them 35-32 in the second stanza. Phillip Petrowitz led the Eagles with 18 points and Taylor Tengwall finished with 10 points.

ML-WR hit five three-pointers in the game with Bohaty hitting for three of the long-range bombs.
