Slick spots are being reported by MnDOT from about Hwy 2 near Floodwood toward Bemidji. This is also the area with the best chance of seeing a wintry mix, including freezing drizzle, Wednesday morning that could lead to slicker travel.
Light snow accumulation of less than an inch is possible near the Iron Range and north of there. This mixed bag will taper off by the afternoon. It’ll otherwise be cloudy with highs ranging from the mid-30s to mid-40s due to a cold front moving north to south throughout the day. That colder air driven by north winds directs rain and snow chances across Bayfield County and east of there overnight Wednesday.
Highs are knocked back into the low to mid-30s on Thursday before we trend warmer Friday and Saturday. Another low-pressure system passes to our north Saturday bringing gusty winds and light rain showers from the north. We should still reach the low 40s on Saturday before the cold front sweeps through in the evening.
