Your forecast for today: Rain showers will approach from the west during the afternoon and begin to mix with snow this evening. We could be dealing with slick road conditions for the evening commute, especially for northern Minnesota. Temperatures will remain steady in the mid-30s with a high near 37 degrees.

Tonight: A wintry mix this evening will transition to all snow overnight with a low near 30 degrees. We can expect a widespread 1-3 inches of snow by the time things taper off Thursday morning, but some areas of northern Minnesota and the Arrowhead region could pick up over 6 inches of snow. These areas, including northern St. Louis County, Lake, and Cook counties are under a Winter Storm Warning from 4 p.m. today through noon Thursday.

Tomorrow: Steady snow will continue in the morning hours on Thursday with very tricky travel and snow-covered roads expected for the morning commute. Snow will begin to taper off into the afternoon hours and the temperature will be dropping throughout the day into the 20s.

Much drier conditions along with some sunshine will return Friday and continue into the weekend along with a slight warming trend. Highs will be in the low 30s Friday but climb into the upper 30s by Sunday.
