Your forecast for today: An area of high pressure will park itself over the Northland today and stay here through much of the rest of the week as it slowly migrates northward into Canada. This will bring a beautiful stretch of weather to the region with sunshine and lower humidity the next several days. It will also keep us cooler as the high slides northward and allows for an east wind to develop off Lake Superior. We are looking at plenty of sunshine today along with an afternoon high near 72 degrees. It will be a bit breezy with northwest winds gusting up to 20 mph.
Tonight: Clear skies this evening will give way to partly cloudy skies overnight. Temperatures will give us a slight taste of fall with a cool overnight low near 49 degrees.
Tomorrow: We are expecting more sunshine and beautiful conditions for Thursday. Winds will be much lighter, but they will begin to shift out of the east and that lake breeze will keep us cooler with a high near 68 degrees.
A nice stretch of sunshine and cooler temperatures in the low 70s and upper 60s, with overnight lows in the upper 40s, will continue through the end of the week. Humidity and storm chances will then increase again towards the end of the weekend.
