This is not a rebuilding season for the Barnum girls basketball team. The Bombers took second place in the Minnesota State High School Girls Basketball Tournament and finished with a 30-3 record. This season the Bombers will reload and look for another ride to a state tourney berth.

"We are really looking forward to another exciting season of Bomber basketball," commented coach Randy Myhre. "We have a lot of great players returning."

Despite losing two star players in Megan Myhre and Hannah Wekseth, the Bombers will be well-stocked for a strong regular season and post season run again. Back will be the likes of Katrina Newman, Sarah Myhre, Jaimee Wickstrom, Leah Nordvall, Darian Bushey, Jenna Zmyslony and Candy Paulson. And that is only the junior class!

Sophomore Jessica Newman is also back and the Bombers are loaded with talent in the freshman class with Katie Myhre, Caitlan Rodgers, Claire Rodgers and Karianna Duesler.

The Bombers will have numerous speedy and quick players and they do not lack for hard workers or players with leadership quality. Many of the Bomber players are also on the academic honor roll.

If Barnum is going to notch another section title they will need to fight through the likes of East Central, Northland, Sebeka and Bertha-Hewitt.
